Under the SICT Program, the following tasks will be undertaken:
- Development of interactive website of FRI, including the following features:
o Administrative information about FRI
o Research projects of FRI and their updated status
o Recommendations and technologies developed at FRI
o Downloadable Reports and Publications
o Training program schedules
o Various related statistical information
o Related links to other fisheries research centers in other countries
o Feedback form that can be used by researchers in and outside Bangladesh to send queries to FRI
- Establishment of LAN at different divisions at FRI
- Broadband Internet connectivity
- Connectivity among 7 sub-stations and headquarter through dial-up
