BREAKING NEWS: Dr. Sirajul Haq Talukder, Deputy Chief of Planning Commission and Deputy Project Director of Support to ICT Task Force Programme, Ministry of Planning passed away on mid Wednesday night (Approx. 12:30 AM) 25 August 2010 (Innanillah-e-wainna elaihe raziwun). Mr. Talukder left behind his wife, two daughters, many relatives and a host of well wishers to mourn his death. Everybody pray to Allah for his soul.

Project Name Interactive Website of Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.
Objectives
Under the SICT Program, the following tasks will be undertaken:
-          Development of interactive website of Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, including the following features:
o        Relevant information about the responsibilities and activities of the Ministry and its subsidiaries
o        Database of key personnel
o        About the Liberation War with photo gallery
o        Development projects
o        Database of Freedom Fighters
o        Certification Verification Service
o        Annual reports, strategic plans, portfolio budget statements, important speeches by the Honorable Minister
-          Providing necessary hardware and peripherals
-          Establishment of LAN at the Ministry
Citizen Benefits
The benefits that citizens will get after successful completion of this project are listed below:
-          Citizens and organizations can verify freedom fighter certificates easily through the Internet
-          Citizens can get access to the list of the freedom fighters easily
-          Citizens can get access to history and pictures related to the liberation war

The ways in which governance will improve after successful completion of this project are listed below:
-          Efficient handling of freedom-fighter affairs as a result of the database
-          Easy update and circulation of news and events
-          Easy update of status of different development projects
